Based on years of experience we highly recommend exploring Iceland on a private tour.

The number one reason for choosing to do a private tour is the flexibility it offers. You will have the option to change the itinerary to meet your needs.

What should I see, visit, experience?

This depends on the duration of your visit to Iceland. You‘ll also have to take o account your interest and even your physical strength.

What to see
If this is your first time in Iceland, we recommend visiting the south coast, because:

  1. You’ll likely be staying in Reykjavik which is located near the south coast.
  2. The south coast tour includes the famous Golden Circle.
  3. There are a number of glaciers, that you’ll be able to hike or snowmobile, located on the south coast. Due to the many glaciers, there are many beautiful waterfalls and glacial rivers along the coast.
  4. There are no mountain roads which makes the south coast easy to travel all year.

What to visit

There is a variety of places to visit on the South coast.

And many more. Our goal is to introduce you to not only the most recognized place but also unique places you‘ve never heard of, where you‘ll get peace and quiet away from other tourists.

What to experience

What are you interested in? What´s your passion? Are you a hiker? Horse rider? An experience could be one of the following:

  • Hiking on a glacier
  • Doing a super jeep tour to the wilderness, crossing rivers and come close to a glacier
  • Snowmobiling on a glacier
  • Doing an ATV tour to the Black sand beach
  • Hiking in Skaftafell
  • Visiting one of the natural ice caves in the Vatnajökull glacier
  • Doing a boat tour on the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon.
  • … and much more.

And there is more

Most travellers plan their trip to Iceland for 7-8 days. You can do the South coast tour as described above. But you can do a lot of other things, like visiting the highlands of Iceland, the unbeaten path where very few tourists go.

What if I want to avoid the crowd?

You can visit other parts of Iceland, either by domestic flight to the north side (there are several flights a day to Akureyri, the town of the north) or to the West Fjords. If you choose the West fjords (4 hours drive from Reykjavík or 40 min flight from Reykjavik to the town of Isafjordur) you gain both spectacular nature and the unbeaten path, much fewer travellers than elsewhere in Iceland. The West Fjords are a well-kept secret. Almost.
