Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon

The Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon is one of the most spectacular sites in Iceland. You can see the huge icebergs moving from the glacier to the sea - you´ll see a new landscape every day!

Located 372 km east of Reykjavik the Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon is one of the biggest attractions in Iceland. In front of almost every socalled crawling glacier is a lagoon or a lake where the melting water from the clacier stayes and eventually drips throgh the ground, but more water comes every day. The Jökulsárlón lagoon is unique because it is attached to the sea allowing seals to swim in the lagoon and take a nap on the icebergs.
